Auto Playwright

By Luc Gagan. Category: Natural-language test authoring. Homepage

The Auto Playwright GitHub README describes it as an MIT-licensed open-source npm library that adds an auto() function to Playwright tests. Test steps are written as plain-text prompts for actions, queries and assertions. At runtime the library sends each prompt with sanitised page HTML to the OpenAI API or Azure OpenAI, which chooses the Playwright action to perform. Tests stay in the user's Playwright project, and each step needs the library and an OpenAI key at runtime. The library is free, and users pay OpenAI usage costs. The README names ZeroStep as the proprietary tool that inspired it.
