CoverUp

By UMass PLASMA. Category: Unit test generation. Homepage

The CoverUp README describes a research tool from the PLASMA lab at UMass Amherst that uses large language models to generate Python unit tests that increase code coverage. It measures coverage with SlipCover and prompts a model to write pytest tests for code that is not yet covered. Supported model providers are OpenAI, Anthropic and AWS Bedrock, with the user's own API key. CoverUp is installed with pip and runs locally, with a documented Docker option. It is released under the Apache 2.0 licence.
