Specmatic

By Specmatic. Category: API testing with AI. Homepage

Specmatic's documentation describes Specmatic as a tool that generates contract tests, resiliency tests and service mocks from API specifications such as OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, GraphQL, gRPC and WSDL. Tests are derived from the specification, and the Specmatic CLI or Studio runs them. It is distributed as Docker, JAR, npm and pip packages. CI setup is documented for GitHub Actions and GitLab. Specmatic MCP exposes contract testing, resiliency testing, mocks and backward compatibility checks to Claude Code, Codex and Gemini. The core is MIT-licensed. The vendor's site states that test examples can be generated with GPT-4.
