Usage credits, outcome-based and managed-service pricing: September 2026 baseline

Published by AI QA Directory on . Built from the catalogue data as of that date; tool pages carry the current facts.

As of 2026-09-24, 5 AI testing tools in the catalogue have documented outcome-based pricing. As of the same date, 13 tools have documented managed-service pricing. Usage-credits pricing is documented for 75 tools. This post lists the first two groups in full and is the baseline that later monthly updates compare against.

What the three models mean

The model names come from the catalogue taxonomy. A tool can carry several models at once.

  • usage-credits: a price per unit consumed, such as credits, test runs or minutes.
  • outcome-based: a price tied to delivered results, on the terms the vendor's pricing page sets out.
  • managed-service: the vendor delivers testing as a service, with people working alongside a platform.

Each tool's pricing source is listed under Sources below and on its tool page. The terms each vendor uses are on that page. We do not restate them here.

How to read the published prices column

  • documented: the page prints at least one plan and price, shown on the tool page exactly as printed
  • documented, none printed: the pricing page was opened and prints no price
  • vendor-stated: a price appears only on a marketing page
  • not documented: no price was found on any public page
  • none recorded: no published price fact is on record

We never compute or estimate a price. A tool priced by quote carries no number.

Usage-credits pricing

As of 2026-09-24, 75 tools document usage-credits pricing. Another 4 tools list it at the vendor-stated level only. The full list, with printed prices and billing, is on the pricing page under the usage-credits group.
